I would like to warn people before sending money to Hernan Lequerica Chiong. I had did it about 4 moths ago and from this time I had not receive stoick I had payed for.
I use to know Hernan as a realiable dealer, so Im very suprised. But I keep hearing from 4 moths that package will be send next week after he get SERFOR (ex-INRENA) perminits, and this is all.
Now from 10 days after my mails no information form him.
What is interesting – in a mean time I had received 2 packages form Peru.
So I worn everybody for sending money up front to him.

looks like he's done the same to "beetlefang" also. check out the classifieds on coleoptera, deadstock. "missing trader"

Thank you Peter, it seems that something strange is going on. I got last answer from Hernan about 40 days ago.
Anyway, I still hope that everything will bee ok, since I know him from 12 year and he always was very honest.

I am beetlefang. I know and have traded with Hernan for 10 years. My latest order was made in Apr. There're some replies from him till 3 months ago. Meanwhile, my Korean friend has the same situation. He got an answer "no material for him and me" from Hernan by way of someone. I guess Hernan is pissed off due to my friend posted the warning messages everywhere.
So be careful~

Hi, All,
I did get my box from Hernan in Nov 2015. Every item is as same as its photos while ordered.
So I guess there're some problems for him to send or to arrange. Half-year waiting is quite much longer than expectation.
BTW, the shipping date he claimed is much earlier than that on the box. So I waited for my box over one month.
So anyone know how long it takes to apply for the exportation permit from Peru EXACTLY?

Not Exactly - but when I purchased some samples from a very reliable supplier - it consistently took about a month to get the paperwork completed. Here is what I think is the problem - your supplier has to take the package to Lima to get the paperwork completed. If you are purchasing from Iquitos - where most dealers are located - then this is either a very long bus trip - or more likely a flight over the Andes. Either way - you don't make the trip for a $50 order. Patience is required. John |
