 Hi all is this Pachliopta mariae ? Its from the Philippines but thought mariae has slightly different markings. The supplier suggested it was P. stranfi but i've not heard of this. Any suggestions ? |

This is a female of Pachliopta strandi (not 'stranfi'). It used to be regarded as a subspecies of Pachliopta phlegon but has been given separate species status.
Note the white spot inside the hindwing cell covers more than half of the cell. In mariae this spot is shorter.
