I love the colors of Chrysina beetles!
There is a lamprima among Chrysina beetles in the last photo

I remember Greg Lewellyn was really into those, he and Rod would go to Honduras for them.

I was very fortunate to have had Greg and Rod get me many of these. They were great guys. These are indeed special beetles...easy on the eye  |

Whatever happened to Greg Lewallen? I know Rod passed away several years ago.

Last I heard .....Greg is teaching art in AZ.

Last I heard .....Greg is teaching art in AZ. Greg is now an art professor at Baylor University in Texas. From what I understand he is doing quite well. Met him in Arizona a couple of summers ago. He gave me a nice Chrysina woodii. |

Love all Chrysina but I agree with Mantisboy, victorina is a favorite.

Yes, I do. But I don't go out of my way to collect them. I hope one day I can go to Costa Rica to photograph them.
