That's fair enough. But can you take the bits you want and send the rest back? We call that 'cherry picking' ? i didn't order them. I told him I had purchased elsewhere. He then sent the package. I paid him $3000 that i couldn't afford. I have not robbed anyone. I have many many M. crenata here and M. cervicornis etc. If i wanted to "cherry pick" i would have "picked those" Peter: You didn´t order me? what do you want to mean?

We have all seen your post, we have all seen the reactions afterwards. Anybody can now decide if he wants to do business with Peter or not. Please keep any further messages in private, where they belong, until the whole situation clears up.
I am sorry for your loss, but topics like these drag down the quality of the whole site.

This is a public forum, so I assume you want more input by uninvolved people? (Imagine my father would have put up a topic on the internet every time somebody didn't pay, what a fun it would have been).
First of all, sending parcels for $8300 in one go? Are you crazy, and with crazy I mean both of you. What if it gets lost? Or... as it happened this time, one half of the parcel is not dry enough and the mold will spread through the box? This is where the whole problem started, and both of you have their fault in this. Even when you gave a big reduction to $7300.
Anyway, the first and one of the most important things in business is communication, and with communication I do not mean Facebook chats. I chat with my friends on Facebook. I ask my family how my cats are doing, but I am not sending messages "hey, can you send me that box worth a car of beetles over? Yes that one". One day Peter says he wants the box of beetles, the other day he says "No, no, I've got a family holiday coming up, please don't send". Do you really want to do business with people like that? Once again fault on both parties' site.
Now you send this parcel, without clear and proper communication with Peter, the parcel arrives, and some stuff has not been dried properly. If it had been dry you could have stored it for some weeks without mold spreading in the parcel. What you send is then not worth what was agreed on. Sending the parcel back is also not an option with insect business as many times you just have an export permit, but not an import permit. Further damage will happen in the meantime. It is in these cases always good when seller and buyer then communicate the damage, the amount of damage, and see what can be saved or not. I had this very same situation before with sellers, and we worked out together how much of the parcel was damaged and not, I then got parts of the payment back after we agreed on the amount together. Once again the fault of both of you. It doesn't look like you acknowledge the mold anywhere, and that you do not acknowledge any reduction of price for the damage anywhere. Peter is also a highly unprofessional business partner as he simply goes on on his own to decide how much money he will give you.
I don't know exactly what you can do now. The options for missed payments are legal actions through a lawyer, but I do see that this will be impossible or highly ineffective, due to it being international and the fact that you have liabilities on your own and have also made clear mistakes in this story.
The other thing is to accept that you got half of your money, I hope it pays for the costs you had when putting the parcel together, and then draw a lesson out of this and never send parcel like that with poor communication again.
I am not into beetles, I have never done business with Peter, and I will also never do business with him, because this story isn't the first one that has come up concerning him.

Hi my friend. you look very "clever.. in your opinion what can I do about this problem? according to your position he can keep all the insects that he did not pay and I must keep quiet and lose 3400 usd becouse it was my fault too ?

Hi dear friends.After waiting Peter send the list of insects that he promised to return, and just now not receive any list nor payment I can say that Peter Stringfellow is a ****, ***, ***, and ***. to all sellers take care with him. to all buyers he sale insects don´t pay to his providers.
