I also agree with nomihoudai about multiple labels to be an error. Yes, add a single label below any labels already on the specimen, but importantly DO NOT replace old labels with your own. Old labels contain the specimen's historical provenance and are almost as important as the specimen and its data. Adam.

That was my point , do not change original label to put your name on it when purchased new specimen. Just add another label saying coll. of XXX. And any other important detail which was missing on original label should be added too on new label. Personally I do have problem even to read one label without taking out the specimen . Usually it is covered or partly covered by wings anyway. It is more easy with a small Lycaenidae Paul
