1) Battus polydamas 5th instar larva from a few years back. Ex ova on Aristolochia tomentosa. 2) Actias luna cocoons raised this past summer. Ex ova on Rhus typhina. 3) Battus polydamas pupa, not sure if the same individual as in picture 1. 4) Callosamia promethea cocoons found this past fall. 5) Hyalophora cecropia cocoon found this past fall.

1) Battus philenor almost a pupa. Ex ova on Aristolochia tomentosa. 2) Limenitis archippus pupae. Raised on Salix amygdaloides. 3) Antheraea polyphemus cocoons from 2014. Ex ova found in the wild (luck). Raised on Populus tremuloides.4) Battus philenor pupa. Ex ova on Aristolochia tomentosa. 5) Agraulis vanillae pupa. Ex ova on Passiflora edulis.

1) Papilio cresphontes pupa. Raised on Zanthoxylum americanum.2) Papilio xuthus 5th instar. Ex ova on Citrus x sinensis and x limon. 3) Limenitis arthemis pupae. Raised on Sorbus decora and Populus tremuloides. 4) Papilio troilus pupa. Raised on Sassafras albidum. 5) Papilio canadensis 5th instar larva starting to turn brown and about to find a place to pupate. Ex larva on Prunus virginiana.

A lot of Cecropia cocoons I raised this past summer on Cherry. A lot of Polyphemus cocoons I raised this past summer on Silver Maple. Monarch chrysalis just before eclosing. A Polyphemus pupae without the cocoon.

Must be disappointing to wait for beautiful Papilio to emerge and having a wasp instead ;(
