I will be traveling to Maryland from Michigans upper peninsula to Maryland the 3rd week of April. Can anyone out there tell me what may be flying around that time or should I leave my net home? Thanks, D.B.

I would look for some of the odd east coast Celastrina at a minimum.

April is still quite early. Probably limited to antopia, j-album, the overwintering stuff. I hate to carry a big net, so I keep on hand a Bioquip National Park Special which takes almost no space.

Depending on weather and location, should be some early swallowtails, various Pieridae, elfins and blues as well as Luna, Polyphemus, Io, Callosamia but not securifera.
