I am finding that some places list Odontolabis sarasinorum while others list Calcodes sarasinorum. Is one correct or is it just a discrepancy in classification. Thank you, Tim Attachments:

Is it Goliathus kolbei or Argyropheges kolbei? Which is more commonly used?

I think all the Chalcodes were synonymized with Odontolabis. Not sure if it makes sense taxonomically, because effectively they were a somewhat distinct group but the majority of species did look like miniature Odontolabis.
As usual, it's quite hard to keep up with nomenclature changes, and hence there are a lot of people still using Chalcodes.
Hope that helps.

And with regards to Argyrophegges, I think this genus actually remains valid.
A lot of people seem to get confused and add them into Goliathus, based on some superficial resemblance.
