Does anyone have recent progress (new resistant lineage, method of struggle, any other news) about the addnv virus that attacked the domectic cricket industry ? Thierry

First I've heard of this. Would like to learn more about it. I used to get crickets from a major supplier and found their crickets to be sterile. For some reason I could not breed from them.

sterilisation is an artefact to not give the opportunity to make your own breedings (like Monsato strategy for seeds). I don't know the exact technic but UV irradiation has been yet used for such aim. the addnv virus is a disease that attacks the entire stocks of suppliers (that made bankrupt for many providers in USA and affect greatly the breeding of domestic cricket in the world ), a nightmare

My local cricket supplier, Top Hat Crickets, shut down for a couple years after being infected with AdDNV, but has since reopened but now sells Gryllodes sigillatus.
