Has anybody experiences with Harmas Insect from Tokyo? I have seen several offers in the Classifieds during the last months. Rare stuff for good prices.

Although I don't believe that the offered O. paradisea are really the nominate, not for this price. He has offered specimens of the nominate some years ago, it was just ssp. borchi. The habitat of the nominate isn't existing for decades as I have heard from to reliable sources.
The quality is good, but be careful if the determination of the species is correct before you order.

I would agree that caution about the data is a necessity from this dealer. I was offered some Byasa with very dodgy data (in fact totally improbable) by Mitsuta, and many specimens of non-existant new subspecies bought by Panzerman from him have extremely unlikely data (see my post 8 in the old forum at www.insectnet.com/cgi/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=read_count&om=986&forum=DCForumID7). Also, when I asked Miyashta about him he told me that he was wondering why he liked to buy a few specimens from his stock every so often, since he apparently works for a small museum in Japan, and Miyashta didn't know what he was doing with them. Having said that, I have no information at all about the trader called Harmas Insect other than the statement by Olivier above that Mitsuta works for that business. Adam. Subsequent note: I had to edit this, as it seems there is a profanity editor in Proboards that removed 4 letters from the name of the Japanese dealer in the 2nd paragraph, which just left the name 'Miyaa' in the text. My edit has left the 'i' out of his name, and hopefully the sh-t will actually appear in his name this time! ;-)
