UPDATE 12.08.2016: Good news, Agusyanto Hasan re-paid full amount after finally receiving my shipment ( it was not his fault. The Indonesian postal service simply strongly delayed the shipment (it took almost 2 months(!) to arrive. Anyway paypal resolution center should not have been involved but well, from now on we know that we can trust each other / that we both are honest persons to deal with.) Thanks for your attention! --------------- Original Text: I can strongly recommend not to accept paypal as payment method from Agusyanto Hasan and to be careful with this person in general. In my case he misused paypal to get his money back although the goods have been shipped to him per registered airmail two days after receipt of payment. Gladly its the first and hopefully last time this is happening to me in 14 years working with paypal. Anyway i filed a postal investigation about the shipment and if it will turn out as actually delivered then Mr Agusyanto Hasan will owe me the full buying price. Thanks for your attention! I am curious to know why Hasan was buying specimens from you. Normally specimens go in the opposite direction.
I hope that this gets sorted, and also that Hasan's Paypal account hasn't been compromised by hackers. That is a real possibility, especially if he uses internet cafes to log in - a very BAD idea as many of them out this part of the world have keylogger software which enables hackers to see everything you type.
Having said that, it would be his fault if that is the case and he would still be responsible for paying you.
I used to buy from Hasan often 10 years or more ago and never had a problem with him at all, but stopped buying butterflies in quantities a number of years ago. Since then there have been some bad reports about him here on Insectnet, although it did seem that mostly it was because some well known Indonesian scammers had hacked his e-mail or impersonated him. He was one of the best known local exporters, and presumably was a target as a result.
I did notice that he started selling on eBay a few years ago, and he was only offering high value specimens and seemed uninterested in high volume low value specimens. About that time I sent him an e-mail asking for his latest list, and never got a reply.

Hi Adam and other readers, he bought from me because he is producing and selling frames, check his website www.indo-insect.com. (Just for info, I am often selling african and south american insects(common and attractive low priced species in bulk such as Morphos, etc) to resellers in Indonesia / Malaysia and sometimes even to Thailand (i once even sold 10 arcturus from Fang / N Thailand to a reseller in S Thailand, the world got small;-) Well,he already started complaining about that the shipment didnt arrived yet on week 3 after dispatch (although registered airmail items can easily take 2-6 weeks nowadays) and that he is going to claim for full refund via paypal soon (on which paypal decided in his favour although i sent proof of shipping (reg airmail receipt) to paypal). And he actually did it on day 29 after dispatch, when i even couldnt yet apply postal investigation what i told him before (that is only possible on day 30 after dispatch). So i applied for postal investigation on day 30 and now i have to wait for the result (anyway so far in 20 years shipping via registered airmail not even one shipment got lost. But in rare cases a shipment got severe delay (anyway out of ym influenze), sometimes even up to 2 months. But in the end every shipment which I dispatched via registered airmail in the past either arrived or got returned (= only valid reason for a full refund in my opinion). So i am practically 100% sure that this shipment will arrive or maybe it even arrived already, i just have to wait for the result of the postal investigation process, and then Agusyanto Hasan have to pay me my money back. Well in any case i learned its not a good idea to accept paypal from this person and i posted this report so that others know at least. If there will be any development in this case i will update here. Best, Felix

Felix,
Thanks for the explanation, I didn't know he was doing frames too.
I only ever lost one registered parcel that never arrived. Richard Mrozek sent me a box of some really interesting butterflies including female Papilio hellanichus, and after a while he tried to track the parcel via his post office tracking system. The Cech PO said it left for Thailand, but the Thai PO said it never arrived in Thailand. Sadly it was never returned to Richard, and I never got my money back, as by the time we knew that it had definitely gone missing it was too late to claim.
Adam.
