that depends on what is rare ! I never gone in Togo but I bred it in Cameroon, others bred it in other localities and I found it in quite any country I gone in Africa (forested one). There are series in collections. may be more than rare it is not the easiest to see as many "Epitola". Note that none species is rare, otherwise the species had disappeared

thanks for that explanation the guy from Togo told me it is very rare thats why i asked lol , i never label a species as rare fast

it is often the case when someone seen a species rarely or for the first time espacially in African dealer that often said their species are rare or very rare (also for commercial reason). They have a very restricted and local experience and ignore what happens more generally. a species can be rare in a locality and very common some km from there and of course in other countries. sometimes the situation is more ambigous ... a hunter receive info from a customer that know nothing and told him it is very rare !
