Is there any chance that in the incredible number of beetles species, that these are distinctive enough to identify beyond being longhorn beetles? Any chance they'd be long brown spotted beetles (Ortholeptura valida)? Sorry I just have a screen capture or the video to watch. Would it even be two different species? Thanks in advance for any help!

From what I've discovered so far, I have put the following in the description of the video - "the couple on the left is most likely Evodinus monticola vancouveri in the Lepturinae (flower longhorn) subfamily of long-horned beetles. The couple on the right is possibly Pidonia scripta, also of the Lepturinae subfamily. At the top of the flower, there also appears to be a rove beetle (Staphylinidae family)"
If anyone has differing or more specific identifications, I'd love to hear it!

Greetings,
I can verify your determinations for both species - they are indeed Evodinus monticola vancouverensis and Pidonia scripta.
You may have mis-typed it in your post, but you attribute both pairs as being on the "left" - change Pidonia to the pair on the "right".

Ah yes, I noticed that and changed it in the video description. Not sure how I managed to do that haha
Can't remember the last time we conversed. I saw Rush in Vancouver about a year ago now. What an amazing show... I'm sad their touring days are through : (

Greetings!
Glad you got to see Rush - I wish I hadn't skipped it now, as it was likely my last chance. But who knows? Musicians as good as they are can't always quit despite saying they will. I at least had the pleasure of seeing them numerous times in the past.
I'm hoping Iron Maiden comes back around one more time - I passed on them last tour as well and regret it now. I saw Judas Priest with Heaven and Hell, Motorhead and Testament a few years back, and both Ronnie James Dio and Lemmy are gone now - you really start feeling your age when your metal heroes start dropping! However, I can't believe Lemmy made it to 70 with his lifestyle. Heaven didn't want him, and Hell was afraid he'd take over!!
Cheers! Bandrow

Nice. I saw Maiden on back to back tours (Powerslave and Somewhere in Time) - they're so great! Still are. I saw Priest around 2005 or 2006 with Anthrax... great show there too! Time sure has flown indeed!
Back on the topic of beetles... : )
Here's a few more getting frisky. Any idea what type of longhorns they might be?

Oh, I've already changed my idea and the title (for now) to them being common red soldier beetles (Rhagonycha fulva).

Hello
Your identification it's correct. It's an introduced species there, as they are originally paleartic.
