Below are two photographs of Speyeria aphrodite alcestis (Top) and Speyeria cybele cybele (Bottom).
The top two specimens are Speyeria aphrodite alcestis from Iroquois County, Illinois right on the border of Indiana
The bottom two specimens are Speyeria cybele cybele. Both are from Perry County, Indiana
The real thing from your area and they are easy to separate when side by side. Just tap the photographs to enlarge.
