My walking sticks like a bath!

Well I have another chance to rear walking sticks and they are growing and thriving! The very interesting thing is that I some times see them dipping their hole bodies agenst the wet leaves after I spray them with water. At first I thought they were getting stuck in the water. This has happened to many times to be a odd occurrence of them getting stuck. They also would rub their wet legs together. I spray my sticks at least three times a day with water. Has any one else observed this behavior? I Find it very interesting!
