Hello, is anyone aware of a place to buy random bugs. I mean a place such as if i wanted to buy termites. I know this sounds kind of crazy but do you guys know of any insect keepers around here that just keep all sorts of bugs. I mean other than myself.

I didn't expect a reply. It's kind of an odd request.

Are you talking about live insects?
If you're wanting live termites (perhaps as a housewarming present for your enemies) there are always colonies in the wood piles in our back pasture. I can't see the postal service being real excited by shipping that sort of thing though.

Yeah Clark, that was what I was thinking if he was looking for already deceased.

Google "Carolina Biological" and click on the "living organisms" link. They offer anything from cultures of E. coli to Actias luna cocoons (and yes, termites). They are located in Burlington, North Carolina. Permit issues may be prohibitive.

Ward's Natural Sciences carries all sorts of live animals. You might need a permit for some. Personally, I'd prefer that termites and ants not be sent anywhere.
