What are AV Coins? Once upon a time I collected US Coins. Sold them all but one set.
The coins in your post look like anceint coins. Early AD?

Panzerman,
Do you have any pillar dollars? If so I'd love to see a picture.

I prefer natural objects such as butterflies to man made coins. Whatever takes your fancy.

Nomad,
I have to agree with you 100% on that one. Most of the time man cannot even come close to creating anything that can compare to the beauty found in nature.

Or the obscure, such as the Peanut Headed Lantern Fly. My favorite oddity is the ornithoptera croesus. Green, blue, green-blue, turquoise, but ORANGE?? Who would have thought of that!

Even the greatest among us like Picasso couldn't do that!

Rare or not, stamps and coins were just made in a press. Nothing man has to offer can compare with the beauty of nature.

Playing a piece on a Violin, a Cello or other instrument compares with the Beauty of Nature! It is just as fragile and ephemeral as Nature... ... and it requires special skills to compose that piece, just as important as the ones to appreciate it. Similar skills each person would require to notice the Nature surrounding us.

Yes, but coins are just metal made in a press. Never been into violins myself, I prefer a bit of Bowie or Iggy Pop.

What About "Natural" Redheads? I find those extremely beautiful.....even though they are still technically man made.

I believe the fairer sex were made by nature in an extraordinary variety, just like Darwin's beetles.
