That's really weird. Do you think they are just reusing images from old auctions?
I've purchased several auctions from them in the past. In fact I purchased one of their first auctions. All arrived in good shape and were the same species as the photos. I'm 95% sure they were the same specimens as the ones pictured in the auctions I won. Many of their auctions, including the ones I won a few months ago use that same clear ruler. Are all of the items with the clear ruler your old auctions?
I guess I'm just wondering what would be the motivation to use these photos if they don't actually have the beetles. They've spent 6 months now getting to where Ebay will let them list multiple times a month. The items they are listing are often only a couple dollars. If they were trying to screw someone I think they'd probably try to get a little more payout for 6 months of effort.

It is strange, that is for sure. However the photos I show are without doubt obtained from previous eBay listings I have made. On his eBay site the other listings may well be genuine, it's just the 5 photos of mine he has plagiarized. The Prionidae went for very high prices. I recommend that any auction bidders contact bpalamsyah6 and ask for additional photos if bidding for the Prionidae.
He lists on Indonesian eBay, which to the best of my knowledge has insect listings that don't show up on eBayUK and other European eBay sites. This could be the reason you had buys at a cheap price if maybe you use eBay.com, not so many bidders to compete against.
I suspect he will try for a good price on the Prioninae, get his money and disappear to turn up again under another seller name in the future. Pure speculation on my behalf, however the question must be asked why does he use my photos.

If you go to his page and check sold listings, it will show you all the older items he already sold. Perhaps you could check there and see if anything else looks "familiar".
Thank you for bringing this up. I really appreciate you keeping a lookout for this kind of behavior.

I will have to withdraw my comments. I've had a closer look at the photos. There is an element of doubt that the photos could be mine. They are similar but they could well be genuine. My photos are over a year old now and I cannot regain them back from eBay to compare. The white ruler used is a common type in Indonesia, available in many stationery stores. I may have maligned bpalamsyah6 without proof. He has a 100% feedback rating with eBay, and maybe that record should stand for itself.

I sent him an email and he was able to post additional photos of some of the specimens. Seems like he's really got these items for sale.
As I said before though, it's good you were on the lookout for this.
