Your weevil is Rhodobaenus sp., most likely R. quinquepunctatus (Say) - the cocklebur weevil. Rhodobaenus tredecimpunctatus (Illiger) (the ironweed weevil) is similar, but it usually has the central spot on the pronotum smaller and not so diamond-shaped, the elytral spots smaller, and it generally lacks the big dark marking on the apices.
