Caught a Baltimore Oriole in my Leptrap bait trap today. Don't know if he wanted the insects in it or the bait. Seemed happy to be let out though.

Bird Trap?

I trap a minimum of five birds every season. Back in the 1980 I caught a small owl. That little bigger destroyed the trap and was wrapped up in the screen.
I have caught mice, roads, several different types of lizzards, spiders and some badass hornets and wasps.
Most of the birds come for the entrapped insects. The mice like the insects but will consume the bait as well.
I have found bats tangled up in the screen. I had some big spiders in South Florida build webs in the trap.
But by far the most memorable creature to check out my trap was a drunk Red Neck.
Did I mention I collected Catocala duciola yesterday!!
