In Vietnam, at Haiphong, I ate pupae of some hymenoptera. In Xichuanbanna (South China), I was served a rather good dish of wasp chrysalis cooked with lemongrass.
Of course, in Mexico, I often drank tequila accompanied by grilled grasshoppers or fried caterpillars. It sounds pretty much like dried shrimp.
The worst experience took place in the island of Marajo in Brazil where my local guide was enthusiastic about the discovery, in a trunk of fallen tree, of large larvae of beetles that had to be tasted alive. To preserve my prestige of French (!!), I crunch the huge larva which curiously had a vanilla taste. Whatever may be the taste, I do not wish to repeat the experiment frequently. In the same country, the children are roasting the tarantulas, which they regard as sweets!
All this is only folklore. As everyone knows, food industries today are preparing steak dishes based on locusts or other insects rich in proteins and whose farming will produce less CO2 and methane in the atmosphere than the bovine American or Brazilian breeding stations largely responsable from global warming.

By the way, As far as I know, in Europe and especially in France, cunnilingus is a common and natural practice, without the need for effort and learning "to develop its taste". Generally, this practice gives pleasure to both partners. And, as written by Adam Cotton : "Amazing how a simple butterfly identification request can morph into a totally different subject or two."

I think it is Papilio (Achillides) dehaanii, but please post a photo of the underside to be certain.
I have a number of papered specimens of maackii collected by a friend on Ullung-do Island, but unfortunately no dehaanii. I must get round to spreading them some time.
Adam.

Thank you for posting the photos. I can confirm that these are dehaanii.
For the information of those who don't know, the pale 'band' on the forewing underside crosses the wing from the tornus to the apex of the cell, whereas in maackii it goes from the tornus along the submargin towards the apex. P. maackii in NE Asia also has a yellowish postdiscal band on the hindwing underside.

I forgot to mention that dehaanii from Korea is the nominate subspecies.

Thanks for your reply. Now I can determine more precisely butterflies. It turns out subspecies koreanus (Kotzsch, 1931) is a synonym ssp.

Yes, that is correct, koreanus Kotzsch, 1931 is a junior synonym of the nominate subspecies.
