Since now advance payments on deliveries of butterflies, moths and beetles to the
well-known togolese hunters arround Kpalimé had nearly always the same result :
The parcel arrived - however the quality of the specimens and the data was poor, the
rest of payment often small - the disappointment on both sides huge.
They seem to have decided to adopt the tansanian, ugandan, cameroonian etc. system !!!
They seem to be satisfied with a downpayment for shipping.
The case :
All of them suddenly come from "The great North" (as the material from the forest area is
meanwhile to be found everywhere cheaper than in Africa) They have all been cheated by the southern
hunters and want to deal directly with overseas.

Hello, I've recently received hundred Satunriidae from Togo. Forest Missahohoe (south west near the border with Ghana) The quality is good but the species are quite commun. I hope it's not a cheater seller. in a few week I will receive pictures of other Sat that I would chose. If all species are commun and may become easyly from other african countries, I will let know the name of this "hunter". We never know. Hope makes life  Best Philippe Belgium |

hello. Sorry for this long delay to answer. In fact I have well received a 100 specimens from TOGO (NiSSAHOE FOREST : South West near the border of Guana). I will never know if these species really come from ther or from another country or place. I have to trust him. Quality is good (90% A1 or A1-, 10% A2 or less). But the problem is the same with every African sellers : only 10 differents species. All really commun. The price was 100€ so nothing to say. About speaking with him : he always ask to sell others package. He tells me he can get everything I want. I send him picture and he always answer me OK I can hace it. I still wait this new famous package since 2 month A friend of mine had more chance with several package with more "good" species and some good coleopteras His name is ROSELINE DOGA. Hello everybody..... has any one informations about """PASCAL TELAO3333 from TOGO he said me his locatioon is ""TCHAMBA""" but the money i sent him recently was retired in ""KPALIME"" 350 kms further first time I sen him ""35 €uros""" ( after having a long time many mails between us ) after that he said the ""Tchamba post offuce " could not sent parcel to France because of coronavirus ...... so he told me to send him more 50 €uros to dsend the parcel via ""EMS"" ..I refusedd...: so he said he will keepthe money ....... after thtat he told me to send hiom only """25 €"" (so he tooked the haf part of postage via EMS by himself......
then Iaccepted and sent him 25 €uros ... after that I try to phoen him during 3 days to understand if the parcell gone away to me .......NO response .... after that he sent me a message because his mother was in hspital with serious hill and asked me to send him more ""45 euros for the medicine and to save the life of his mother""" so I refused until this evening..... so he sais he will cancel the package next week on nmonday and of course keep the money I sent him """60 €""...
he did not want to give me the EMS follow-up number that I have been asking him for several days or the information concerning the so-called hospitalization of his mother ( service doctor treatment etc...)... always asking me 45 €uros moer ...
I refused ...( until I am convinced of his honesty...) ( but I'm not sure of that..)
So if anyone have information moere about this guy I would be grateful....

Asking for more money after a deal is struck is a red flag, professionals know what they're doing, the honest and the dishonest. Let alone a semi-plausible excuse like an illness in the family. |
