Since the controversial topic of Bigfoot was so popular, let's hear some opinions on flying saucers & little green men.

Greetings!
I'll bite! I'd be more inclined to believe that there are yet-to-be-discovered beings out there in the universe than that we'll learn Bigfoot exists.
While I think it could be cool to have little green men buzzing around the planet, I do believe that UFO's are nothing extraterrestrial, just unidentified, so I guess all "Unidentified Flying Objects" are real. Human eyes, lights, darkness and imagination can all combine into a gumbo of "explanations" similar to the Bigfoot phenomenon - if it can't be clearly identified, then it has to be aliens.
To paraphrase that wonderful statement - 'If there is no other life in the universe beyond that on Earth - what a tremendous waste of space...'
Cheers! Bandrow

If there is extraterrestrial life and there probably is I think it would be in our best interest to keep our heads low due to the fact that we in comparison to them are a savage species that would be technologically behind them by thousands of years. They would have about as much interest in being "friends" with us as we would want a meaningful relationship with algae. If anything E.T. could think we look delicious. But so much for not blowing our cover I'm sure the TV and radio we've been leaking into space will get somethings attention. Hope like like watching Mr. Ed and the Munsters.

JTaylor, Your post reminded me of a 1962 episode of The Twilight Zone called "To Serve Man". Great story about advanced aliens visiting Earth with an unexpected twist in the end. Great lesson on learning to pay attention to which word in a sentence gets the accent! Eat up! Bandrow

Now that you mention it I recall that episode. If I end up on a E.T. grill I hope they use some high end barbecue sauce and then get food poisoning.

I remember the aliens with a cookbook too. What a concept!
So once again, I'll just say that the organization of real skeptics that studies weird ideas like bigfoot and UFO's think there is no GOOD evidence for extraterrestrial beings visiting earth. Of course any good conspiracy nut will realize that this is just a government cover up and I am probably in their pay to hush up the truth.
All the best examples of UFO's have been thoroughly investigated and come up lacking. Roswell New Mexico, south of here, gets lots of tourist dollars thanks to a previously classified project which crashed there. All the details are public but the true believers will never let it go and the city loves the revenue.
The universe is huge, and there is almost certainly alien life out there. It is practically inconceivable that there is not other life considering how rapidly life appeared from a chemical soup here on earth. On the other hand unless there is some way to break Einstein's law that nothing exceeds the speed of light, it is rather unlikely that we will get many visitors or that we will visit other solar systems. That's why the science fiction writers invoke the mysterious warping of space and wormholes. It is certainly necessary to get around the speed of light somehow.

Yes sirie Buffalo Bob, I believe in Space Aliens. They are hear and inhabit Washington DC and we elect them to Congress every year.
We got one of the Better Ones this last election. This one has an excellent taste in Women.
However, Hillary is not one off them. None of them are that stupid, or a plug ugly.
However, they all have the same major flaw. They all speak with a forked tongue.
Do I say this correctly???

I saw a UFO last night, it landed in my back garden, piloted by Bigfoot.

When I was in high school, my barber was Ralph Ditter. In the barbershop, he had two photographs on the wall of a UFO that flew over his house in 1966. It was apparently national news back then, and these were published in newspapers and magazines across the country. By the time I was in high school in the early 70’s, the photos had been discredited as fakes using small (3-4 inches) objects thrown up in the air. You can see the photos and discussion at ufologie.patrickgross.org/htm/zanesville66.htm. Ralph always maintained their authenticity when you talked to him about it. My dad later told me that Ralph later said that the technical analysis was bull###, and that he used his “Sunday hat” to fake the photos…. I don’t know if that was true either. Here’s a more official account of the story (less barbershop BS at least). www.mufonohio.com/mufono/The%20Zanesville.htmlJohn

Well, wasn't much interested in the Bigfoot thread since I never saw one nor do I know anyone who has, but...I did see a UFO in North Carolina in 1967. I'm not saying flying saucer or alien ship either. It appeared as a very bright star and moved rather rapidly all over the night sky. It moved at about twice the rate of typical satellite velocity as viewed on any given night. I was with a full Company of other Marines and we were doing night training. We all saw it and the Company Commander radio'd in reporting it up the chain. What ever it was, we observed it for at least 20 minutes before we were ordered back into our night training. It would "fly" back and forth across the sky in multiple compass directions, make immediate right angle turns, "hover" in one spot, stop and reverse course. It was definitely doing flight maneuvers inconsistent with known aircraft at that time. I never sat down to do the math, but it was around 9-9:30 PM in early April, so it was about 3 hours after sunset give or take, which by my reckoning would have placed this UFO rather high in the sky in order to reflect light off the sun.
Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
