I just wanted to say hello, I am new to the community. I am 16 and have gotten the bug for insect collecting. So far I am not collecting anything I cant catch and pin myself. I am also into ant keeping and tropical fish keeping.  |

Tropical Fish: I grew up with the sound of bubbling fish tanks. When I married I took the sound with me.I heard that sound and all that goes with Tropical Fish for the next 43 year's. When I moved from Florida to Kentucky in 2000 I sold all of my tanks and equipment.
I sleep soundly now. If I want to hear compressed air, well I just visit Jose Casa's Mexican Restaurant for dinner. Man do I bubble!!

Once everyone is in the hobby for a while, they eventually find he is in it for money. He makes kid based videos that are more click bait than anything, and sells way overpriced products. His forums where named after him so he could sell more of his products. I just in general dislike him. It never used to be that way, but now he just takes advantage of people. Do some looking around and you'll see not what only I see, but what many others see wrong with his whole setup. I would highly advise everyone to stay away from his forums and products. I have been on formiculture.com for a long time, and is the only place I where I will stay. Been in the hobby a LONG time and now the history to every site and people like Mikey who owns antscanada. I got banned from other forums because admins just wanted to, (no joke) and have literally just had some of the worst experiences. And off the top of my head, currently I am keeping: Tetramorium caespitum, Camponotus noveboracensis, Camponotus pennsylvanicus, Lasius neoniger, Lasius alienus, Formica sp., Aphaenogaster sp. |
