I was curious if anyone knew for sure what this bug was. It is about a half inch long and I have seen a few of them in my house I think it is a dirt colored seed bug but want to be sure that it is. Thanks, Tom Bell Attachments:

Where in the world did you take the photo? It would really help someone to identify it.
I can say tht it is definitely a Hemipteran bug, but I am not sufficiently familiar with them to say more than that.
Adam.

I took it in Washington State. They started coming in in the early fall months and I have steadily seen them all winter. I know bugs are prone to come in in the winter, but I haven't seen this bug before this year.

If it is in North America, I usually would check in Bugguide. Here is a similar bug, but I don't know bugs; I only know beetles. bugguide.net/node/view/1504727/bgimageHemiptera (True Bugs, Cicadas, Hoppers, Aphids and Allies) » Heteroptera (True Bugs) » Pentatomomorpha » Lygaeoidea » Rhyparochromidae (Dirt-colored Seed Bugs) » Rhyparochrominae » Rhyparochromini » Rhyparochromus » Rhyparochromus vulgaris Hope that helps, Rick
