Washington, DC: Potomac Books, Washington. 2007]- almost everything in colonel's career, from his war adventures to achievements in ornithology, was a fake. I hope this won't discourage you from reading the book. There was also article about Meinertzhagen's "crimes" in ornithology (stealing and mislabeling specimens in leading museums): John Seabrook, A Reporter at Large, “Ruffled Feathers,” The New Yorker, May 29, 2006, p. 50.
