Hey everyone. I live in Wisconsin and have been finding these what I assume are beetles in my house. Can someone help me figure out what they are?? They are very small. Maybe half the size of a dime?

It is some species of weevil. I would send this picture to PJ Liesch. He is the University of Wisconsin extension Entomologist. He is very good at figuring these types of things out. His email is pliesch@wisc.edu

Thank you. Email sent.
I thought based on my own research it was a weevil also. Does anyone else have any idea?

Greetings,
Definitely a weevil in the subfamily Entiminae. I would guess it's close to the genus Otiorhynchus - but there are an awful lot of weevil species, so hopefully Mr. Liesch can get you a good name. Let us know his verdict...
Cheers! Bandrow

Looks like a Strawberry Root Weevil (Otiorhychus ovatus). Beetle is black, has a short snout, is about 7-10mm long, has a very hard body (try crushing one between your fingers!) & is commonly found in later summer crawling around the walls inside of homes. Their larvae are minor pests on strawberry plant roots as the name implies. Not a weevil expert... my opinion only.
