I took this pic on March 20, 2011 in central Oklahoma at a Quince bush. It is unlike any Tiger Swallowtail I have ever seen. A lot of blue and large red spot.

Yep---that's a fine specimen of the yellow form of the female. She does have plenty of blue.

Thanks for the help. Is this a Black Swallowtail or a female Tiger Swallowtail?

That's a female Tiger Swallowtail, dark form : )

Thanks for all of the help. I know my birds but, I'm not so up on the butterflies. I do love them, though. I was attempting to attract an Oriole with an orange and got this Red-spotted Purple, instead. Not complaining
