Please help I have an infestation of these in my ever green tree in the south west of the Uk they are all on the underside of the branches, some are plane black and others are black with a white stripe on there tails, can anyone identify please. kind regards ROY

The photo is out of focus, but I think the all black specimens may be immature whereas the ones with white on the abdomens may be adults. I really am not sure as only a few are almost in focus top and bottom, and also I live 5,000 miles away so do not recognise them. Probably someone else here will know what they are, but a photo with the insects in focus would help. Perhaps you need to take the photo ever so slightly further away from them.
