Talk about nervous. This young brown widow spider has an awful time nabbing the cricket I presented her with. She finally gets him, though. Hope you like it.

cruel, nature is cruel. I read the spiders on earth eat about 800 million tons of insects ( without brids, snake, frogs and other insects ) All or most all die this way. what is so special with the container?

It is cruel in our perspective, in reality insects are not aware of their existence, they’re preprogrammed organizms to reproduce and being eaten or collected. In fact spiders are not much of the difference only being above insects in the food chain.

Obviously, you have no respect for spiders. All you care about is the poor cricket, or other victims of normal behavior. Any insect is there to learn from.
Yes, widow spiders have gained a bad reputation. If improperly handled, they can be dangerous. These girls are my friends, and have provided a wonderful tale of their lifestyle. I know where to find them, how to treat them and how to keep them healthy.
The container I make is their home, away from home. Dealing with prey, they carry out a very specific routine. The example I provide is a good example of their personality. Do not be afraid.
