Hi, I recently received these images of a Saturniidae specimen, taken March 14, 2011, in Yokadouma, Est Province, southeastern Cameroon. It appears to be a Gonimbrasia or Nudaurelia species, possibly staudingeri or a subspeces, but I am not at all sure, as it is far from a perfect match for images that I have seen. Help with id would be appreciated. I will try posting recto and verso images in same post, but if that does not work, I will post one after the other in separate postings. Thanks. Maybe it is Gonimbrasia alcestris godarti, which would be a new addition for my Cameroon list. Bill Oehlke

it is visible and present, greased (or discolored ?) the "wild" specimen is "fresh", and it is why it is so visible. Thierry

Yeah, sorry guys, that specimen is a bit greasy on the body but it is the only one I have. Only one I have seen for that matter! Dave

So Caleb, where did you get my image from infringing my copyright? Your image...? You're the owner of Saturniidae World?

No, but the image is my copyright as plainly printed on it! The site belongs to Franz Zieris who would not be pleased either. Perhaps you are not aware that an image posted on a website has the image owners sole copyright unless otherwise stated, that image clearly says Copyright Dave T. Rolfe, i.e. me! Such images should not be taken and posted elsewhere without the owners permission. Dave
