Tennent does not recognize that as a valid ssp in fact states that though there are regional (island) forms, there exist sufficient intermediary grades to determine all one ssp.

I have a hard-and-fast rule about recognizing doubtful subspecies in my collection: If I lack an example, I consider it to be a synonym anyway. But If I have a specimen, then
I say it's valid and label it as such!

I put most everything into unit trays. I use a tray label for the species or ssp, but I seldom put individual determination labels on specimens.
But it's a rare thing for me to update a label with the most current name... I can remember the old ones, but not the new! I haven't changed country names on
locality labels, either... I have obsolete places like USSR and Northwest Territories and certain English counties on my labels, and am happy to leave them so.
