Hi Everyone! The one posts ad on classfields which the title is “For sale Pupae” is a cheat. He uses a name “Nora Tardelli” as an Italian ,but is more likely a Cameroon man named "Paul Merh Ngu" He let me sent to his supplier called "Paul Merh Ngu" in Cameroon. I sent $100 in advance and he said he shipped the parcel with a company "MC Serpenti" He can not offer a tracking number and promised it will arrived in about 5-7 days. After about 3 days he told me the company "MC Serpenti" let me to pay a $53 insurance for the safe of the parcel. And I also received several messages from the company, it has a payment link, but I can not sign in because their website only has "Taiwan" as a country but no "China". So he told me and let me sent the $53 to "Paul Merh Ngu" in Cameroon again! And told that these fees will be refund after I received the parcel. After the second payment about 3 days, he asked for a $44 delivery caution fee!! And also professed that it will be refund after I received the parcel. He said that I will received the parcel after I paid with in 1 days! BUT I WILL NO MORE TRUST HIM! He can not offer a picture will pupae and his signature and cannot let any "famous collector" to prove him. But he offered me a picture of the shipping ticket. I do not know How he can did that, but I think he is a cheat. Here is the Western Union informations of him.PLEASE BE AWARE!!
First name: PAUL MERH NGU
Last name: ALANG
address: Live Insect Supply, Simbock Street 1
City: Yaounde
Country: Cameroon

His advertisement is still on the classfields right now. And I've just reported the ad.

This is a standard scam, after sending the initial payment he asks for more, and then more. It is similar to the scam where you receive an e-mail saying you will receive a large amount of money, and after replying they tell you to send a small amount to cover charges (repeated several times). Gullible people keep on paying hoping that eventually they will receive a big payout but they never do, of course.

This is the funny part: the fees will be refund when parcel received... He doesn’t lie about it at all, because you will never receive actual package. If one can fall in such that only proofs validity of Bichos’s statement.

The part that amazes me is the number of scammers and the number of people who get scammed.
Owning my own business, Leptraps LLC, I would get hit on about every week until it was evident to them that trying to scam me was a wast of time. However, some of them can be very persistent.
There are two here in the good old USA that are really slick.
We only hear or learn of a few who become victims. There are many more who get ripped off and then are to embarrassed to say anything.
I have several AOL email addresses. About once a week I get an email that my AOL account will be placed on hold unless I confirm my AOL Account name and password.
The individual sending the AOL request will have a Yahoo or gmail email account.
I respond with a you are a stupid little theif. Then I copy there email address 124 times and send them a response. I may do this several times. They must delete each email singly.

NEVER EVER SEND MONEY IN ADVANCE IN AFRICA (even for shipment). It has been written here for decades. Let's not feed the scammers.
You will find plenty of reliable suppliers on InsectNet home banners and in our Supplier list.

If anyone successfully scams me, I will let everyone know. There's no such thing as an international parcel taking less than a week, unless it's some super priority. I just received a parcel from Italy, it took 19 days, I'd actually given up on it, but today- woohoo! I'd purchased from the seller before, so I was assuming either it was some other issue. The one from Eucuador (I must be misspelling that) is probably fake as well.

Expect parcels from many countries to take a lot longer than normal to arrive under the current circumstances.
Even in normal times parcels can take much longer than usual to reach their destination. I guess that sometimes they get stuck in the postal system for a while.
It is always best to send parcels registered, then the recipient can find out what stage of delivery it has reached. There is often a significant delay between a parcel leaving the sender's country before it is logged into the system at the recipient's country. If a parcel doesn't arrive at all it can be traced if it is registered, but if lost after being sent by normal post there is no chance of recovering it.

Sending the registered parcel from Canada anywhere outside of country is not really an options. Minimum charge for small box with one specimen cost over $50.00, unless it is very expansive specimen no one will want to pay few dollars for specimen and $50-60 for shipping. I’m not sure other countries but Europe seems quite cheap in compare.
