Papilio hoppo inhabits Taiwan and this is not the one. This is indeed African Papilio species and I’m sure a Adam or Tom will correctly determined it.

It's hard to be sure without seeing the underside, but it is probably Papilio chrapkowskoides, formerly known as Papilio bromius. These used to be commonly imported from Bangui, CAR for framing back in the 1970s.
