Possible Termite or Gnat? (Pacific Northwest Near Seattle)

Hello,

I'm relatively new to home ownership and very inexperienced with identification of insect life.  That being said, I've been noticing floods of little insects coming from a certain area of my house recently and was wondering if they're harmless like gnats or flying ants or if they're something more akin to termites, in which case I need to get active.  Attached are some pictures I was able to capture!  This one was no longer with us when the pictures were taken.
