My traps have been scoring a series of leps. Problem is that I don't have time at the moment to mount them and I don't like letting them dry and trying to mount them six months later. What's the best way I can keep them relaxed for a few days now?
What I'm currently doing is keeping them fresh in a sealed tupperware container. Just inside and along one edge (kept in place when the lid is sealed) is a damp paper towel with a lysol solution. I'm hoping this will do the trick, but would welcome any thoughts on the question.
Thanks in advance.

Freeze the specimens right in your box. They will be ok to spread after few days. For small Lycaenidae I would still advice to relax them before attempt to spread as they already partly dried and won’t be flexible anymore

Thanks. I have frozen them in the past, but thought something might be a bit better for the shorter term. Turns out that the lysol solution used within the tupperware containers has kept them relaxed for nearly a week now with no mold.

Update: I found the lysol worked except it seems to lose its strength after a few days, leaving behind a somewhat moist paper towel and.... mold! Two leps had mold on their bodies after being in the container for 5 days. So, for anyone considering this, check the lysol moistened paper towels daily, otherwise you might have an unwelcome surprise!
