Please help identify this bug

Those look like Brown Banded Roaches, Supella longipalpa, especially the nymph. They do look similar to German Roaches, Blattela germanica, but the main way to identify German roaches is by the two dark lines running from behind the head to the base of the wings.

Keeping a clean home is important to help keep the population of roaches down but they need very little food. If I remember right, a raisin provides enough food for 400+ roaches for a day so little tiny crumbs in the corner of the floor, a small dab of grease from cooking behind the stove or small drop of juice or soda is more than enough. As to where they came from, probably one of your neighbors. Roaches are very hard to control in apartments and if one resident doesn't do anything about their roaches they can quickly spread.
