Beetle (?) I found in the bathroom.

Found probably 6 or 7 of these near my bathroom window since I moved into my new house (Maryland, USA) two weeks ago. They're really small, about the size of a small ant, and similar looking, but I think from the little research I've done that they must be some kind of beetle. The head of the bug is black and the abdomen is red and black. (Sorry the pictures aren't great.)

Any help with the ID would be appreciated. Thanks
