I have brown and black bugs infestation in my home. I keep spraying and cleaning but they aren’t going away. I found them in furnace and ductwork yesterday. I had moisture issues and have resolved them and still can’t get rid of these things. They tend to get in my hair, feel them touch my skin and sometimes feel like a bite. Seems most sensible thing is collect a few in a jar or on a piece of sticky tape and call a pest exterminator

Most of the photos show only dirt or detritus. Possibly dried blood. One photo may have an insect, but the photo is poor, and if it is an insect it’s not the type to be a problem.
Call an exterminator. They can be found in the phone book, Angie’s list, and Facebook.

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback. I don’t know what to look for and I assume I keep taking pics of the wrong things.
The thing I am confused about is that I was told to cut a fresh potato and they would swarm to it. I cut the potato an within seconds, the about had about 15 small black specs on it. They are so small, I would never think it was a bug but can’t figure it out.
When I set on the couch with my laptop, it gets covered with white things that look like larvae but can’t tell because they are so small. They were much bigger before when I kept spraying and the white things could be found all over the floor. It looked like a clipped finger nail with a little black spot on the end. I squeezed it and some liquid would come out the end.
I had Terminix come out and they said they only deal with bedbugs, roaches, etc... They probably thought I was crazy in which I think I am losing my mind at times myself. Then, I think about the black specs I find in my bathroom floor every day and always the same shape. Couple look minnow shaped and others round shaped specs. I feel like I can see them flying in my peripheral but never really see them. I was thinking it was something parasitic but I don’t know and not sure all exterminators know how to deal with parasitic insects.
I really can’t tell if I am losing my mind or if I am seeing things and itching all of the time. I suppose I will have to find an exterminator to rule out the possibility of this being a parasite and then see a doctor to see what is going on with me.
Anyway, again I really appreciate your response. It makes me think a doctor visit is in order.

[br ] I fully understand, last October (our spring) I would get minute fleas attack my legs and arms when I got up in morning and opened french doors ,these have fly screens as well. Had apartment sprayed, they were back very soon so exterminator asked for samples, that's not easy when 1mm long and jumps. Finally got 2 on clear sticky tape as they fed on my arm. Turned out to not be a stud flea, was a sand flea that in Queensland, Australia is common, they get through STDs fly mesh. You really need a sample of the white things with black dots and anything else. Then a pest guy . Hope this helps Anna |
