I think you are right to call it a "bug", it looks like one of the true bugs. I'd think just about anything would zap them, although
if it's just a few individuals running around, they'll find better pickings than your wall.
Even a bugzapper might work, attracting them at night and electrocuting them.

Yes they are Hemiptera, true bugs. They won't bite you or anything, probably better just to leave them alone, and they will go away in a while.
