That's a new word for me. You have my support. Free is wonderful, the problem with free things, however, is that free things have a way of being misused, disappearing too fast and not being appreciated the way something free should be. I'd rather pay for the service, and not have to sort through ads for foreign chemicals, aka drugs, fake ads, ads for tiger cubs, and so on. Too many people pile on as well, with multiple listings, and things get buried in the overburden. Frankly, I was surprised when I first started using Insectnet, that it was free, at any rate, it's going to be interesting to see how the new policy is received. I can't see anyone complaining, but then, you never know. I always get responses from every ad I post, I've never not sold something I've listed, and there you go. If it's worthwhile, it'll pay for itself.

Thanks Kevin
We will see, I have reveived 8 emails of happy members saying it should help remove the scammers from our community and 2 people complaining. Big classified posters are already sponsors and 2€ is nothing (except for Nigerian scammers) so we will see.
But frankly I don’t want to receive anymore emails of people saying they have been scammed due to Insectnet.
Insectnet is not a big part of my income and is a big part of my issues. Let’s fix what is easy to fix and let’s protect our community from scams.

Just read the revised solution, a good idea, sometimes it takes different perspectives to get the best solution, it'll be interesting, and should stop most of the scams. I think most of our members can spot a scam in a few seconds, I've never been successfully scammed, I use a set of guidelines, which I normally follow.... I'd like to see more people take it a little easier with payment requests, and asking for "friends and family" I think the actual percentage is 3.8 for seller fees, and I think people might feel some sense of guilt not blindly trusting someone, just because we're all interested in the same thing. You can't recover your money in "friends and family", that's why it's called that. I know there are some reasons, like the possibility of buyer scams against sellers that would be prevented by using the friends and family. Is paypal obscenely rich?, sure, but it is a service we depend on, and I don't mind paying my share. But the solution to charging for ads is a good one, possibly so simple it was overlooked at first.
