I trap literally thousands of Wasp and Hornets every year. I manage to collect a few which I stick on pins.
Can anyone post photographs of the correct way to mount specimens?
I collected a large "yellow Jacket" in a Bait Trap yesterday. I have never seen such a large Specimen nor have I seen a Yellow Jacket this early in the year. I currently live in North East, Ohio.
I checked the trap Tuesday morning, high temp Tuesday was 44°F. Low temp Tuesday night 29°F. It was 36°F when I checked the trap Wedensday morning.
No Lepidoptera in any of my Bait Traps during this time period.
