I collected these two specimens in Southern Ontario near Toronto. I'm sure they are common species but I don't have any reference book to find what are they. Paul

The blister beetle on the right seems to be a Meloe species but I am not sure which one.

The blister beetle on the right seems to be a Meloe species but I am not sure which one. Yes, I got to this point but there are few species of this genus very similar so I gave up. The click beetle I didn’t even try 🤪

I collected these two specimens in Southern Ontario near Toronto. I'm sure they are common species but I don't have any reference book to find what are they. Paul I spent some time to try ID those two and thanks to advice I search bugguide.net which is really helpful with identification. So on the left it is Sylvanelater cylindriformis ( ID confirmed by Bandrow-thank you), Right: Meloe angusticollis. If this may not be correct please advice. Cheers Paul

The bugguide program sounds like fun. Whether or not I go depends on the status of the coronavirus & getting my wife's permission.
