I am confused by this Parnassius specimen. I received it as P. behrii but the location data seems to exclude the possibility of that species.
I am relatively uneducated when it comes to Parnassius taxonomy but I know there is some inconsistency between websites like BOA, butterfliesandmoths.org and bugguide.
It looks to me like P. clodius menetriesii. However, it does not seem to be found in Colorado (has the range decreased since 1972?).
Also, I can't locate a Bullion Peak in Park County, Colorado. There seems to be one in La Plata County though.
Any insight would be appreciated.
