Hello everyone! I'm building a bar around a tree on my property and today see dozens of these time black beetles (1-2mm?) everywhere. Climbing on me, on the bar, etc. If these are going to be a nonstop problem or are something less than ideal I may need to find a new home for this bar! Suggestions would be great! I have a microscope if needed, but figure these images are enough. They have an interesting pointed mouth that makes me work they may not be friendly? Thanks in advance! Ps. I said pics included, and planned to share a bunch, but cannot find an option to upload??

You are first person to say “I will have to find new home for my bar” As till now I only remember to hear how can I get rid of the bugs or how to kill them. My bows to you for respecting the nature around you.
Adam will follow with instruction how to post images here.
Good luck Paul

It sounds from your description of the beetles having a "pointed mouth" that they may be weevils, which would be harmless to people. Probably they eat seeds in the tree, and it is likely that they will be seasonal. See my post in the Technical issues section at insectnet.proboards.com/thread/4692/picture-attachment for how to post photos. You have to use a (usually FREE) photo hosting website and put the link to each photo in your post. Please also tell us where in the world you are, it makes big a difference for identification purposes. Adam.
