Hello all, I saw this beetle at sea level just north of Vancouver, British Columbia. I nearly bit into it as it was on a salmonberry I had just picked! I didn't notice it at first! I set it on a leaf and managed to film it for a bit. I apologize about the corny intro and outro. Any help with identification is much appreciated.

I live on the coast in Oregon, these guys are common, Banasa dimidiata is as close as you're going to get without a better guide than I have, personally, I call these shield bugs, they are not the classic stink bug, which produce that weird rose type smell, I don't think I've ever smelled an odor from one of these particular bugs. They look a little like beetles I suppose, but all have the distinctive shape, the "buggy" eyes and a proboscis that will be folded under the head, or poked into a plant. They also fly to lights. They're harmless, unless you're a salmonberry.
