Hi Everyone, Thank you for helping with bug identification. If you could please let me know if this is a bed bug that would be great. I found it crawling on top of my desk this morning at 8:00 AM, and it somewhat matches pictures which is freaking me out. Our bedroom is about 12 feet away from the office where the desk is. Location: Manhattan, Kansas, USA Other Pictures (Zoom-in): ibb.co/q0MypN0ibb.co/dPwn4hPibb.co/vCNkFbDibb.co/jbywQ5tThank you! P.S. Are there any options for remediating this issue if it is a bedbug? Our daughter has medical issues that prevent the use of bug sprays.

Could it possibly be a bat bug?

I have two separate bugs I am asking for identification. The first one is in the first post, I then had a secondary one you said is a mite.
Do you have any idea if the bug I posted in the first post is a bed bug or bat bug?
Thanks!

You can find a lot of information on their biology, detection and management at Department of Entomology and Univ. Extension web sites such as this one where you are. I would start there. bookstore.ksre.ksu.edu/pubs/mf2926.pdf

Even if you take into consideration I live on the 3rd floor of the apartment building with a chimney, and have had a bat enter our apartment before? We also have an owl that hangs out at the top of our chimney.

To me it looks like a bat bug. The pronotum and head look like that from the bat bug. But it's hard to tell without microscope.
The other bug is a mite. No clue which one.
