Yesterday morning found a Great Purple Hairstreak. I don"t see many. Found near my pond under a nice growth of mistletoe ; its reported foodplant. Will watch for more.,

The Great Purple Hairstreak is very common where it's larval host plat, Mistletoe: Phoradendron leucarpum occurs.
It was abundant the McKethan Lake Recreation Area - Withlacoochee State Forest, Hernando County, Florida. I could also be abundant along the Sugar Ridge on the northeast side of Lake Okeechobee.
