Hello everyone, This insect has been eating my mother's garden for some time. It is gross, really looks like an alien baby. And pretty aggressive and fast too. She lives in Guadeloupe and has done so for the last 60 years but it is a first for her as well. She killed it (sorry for that, i was upset too) but it was the second specimen she had found. There might be more. Please, help me identify this monster!

Sphinx moth caterpillar. Very common. It's also harmless, except for eating the leaves of certain species of plants. It certainly won't hurt people in any way other than that. Adam.

Thank you Adam and exoticimport ,very fast and very accurate. Didn't imagine it was that common, though. I'm a bit disappointed...
