It could be a firefly larva (family Lampyridae), but I am not very familiar with these.

It could be a firefly larva (family Lampyridae), but I am not very familiar with these. Adam. Probably correct. My generalized beetle field guide didn't have any pictures of firefly larva, but they do feed on slugs.

Paying close attention to locality is always important when requesting, or providing, an ID. This is from Louisiana, U.S.A., while 'trilobite beetles' genus Platerodrilus, are found in Southeast Asia.
