It could be a firefly larva (family Lampyridae), but I am not very familiar with these.

It could be a firefly larva (family Lampyridae), but I am not very familiar with these. Adam. Probably correct. My generalized beetle field guide didn't have any pictures of firefly larva, but they do feed on slugs. |

Paying close attention to locality is always important when requesting, or providing, an ID. This is from Louisiana, U.S.A., while 'trilobite beetles' genus Platerodrilus, are found in Southeast Asia.
